Accessibility Help

The KCI Web site has advanced accessibility features, which make it easy to use for most visitors, including those using screen readers and screen magnifying software.

The KCI Web site makes a concerted effort to meet Priority Level 2 of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) provides Web Content Accessibility guidelines to assist Web developers in creating accessible Web pages.

In order to help you navigate around the site easily when using a screen reader, please note the following points.

  • This site uses CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for the page layout although some tables have been used within the site for data presentation.
  • All our pages follow the same structure and layout for ease of use: Utility links such as Accessibility, Sitemap and Contact Us appear first followed by country/region information.
  • This is followed by the Main Menu. Sub-menus appear in the left column underneath the main menu heading when you are within a particular section. The main content is always located in the middle column.

Skip navigation

The following skip navs allow users with screen readers to bypass repeated content.

Using this site

How do I find my way around the site (including information for screen readers)?

To help find your way around this Web site you will find a main menu at the top of each page. By using this menu you can go to various sections of the site. When you select a main menu option, a left navigation sub-menu will open underneath the main menu. If you are using a screen reader, the menu options appear as a list and the left navigation sub-menus appear as a nested, unordered list.

Screen readers

In order to help you navigate around the site easily when using a screen reader, please note the following points.

This site uses CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to create a page header that includes the main menu with a three-column layout underneath on all pages except the homepage and the search results pages. Some pages on the site may use tables for data display.

All our pages follow the same structure and layout:

  • Accessibility Help, Sitemap, Contact, Active Country Information, Change Country, Active Language, Change Language
  • A decorative corporate logo, Careers , Investor Relations, News & Media, Events, About KCI, Site Search
  • Local telephone number for customer support
  • Main Menu (Home, Conditions, Products, Clinical Evidence, Education & Training, For Patients, Customer Support)
  • Sub-menu (List with sub-menus as a nested list)
  • Content
  • Important message for patients
  • Legal Notice, Privacy Policy, Contact Us, News Feed
